iPhone and the web

The following story just illustrates something I have said before - the iPhone (and it's unlimited tariff) makes it so much easier to browse the Internet than any other phone (and yes - that includes all Blackberries out there) letting users actually do even casual web-browsing from their phone. THe unlimited tariff is a important psychological factor - as you know that you're not going to run up a enormous bill while doing some non-company browsing...

Google has announced that Apple's iPhone is dwarfing the competition in internet searches, with Web surfers seeking out the iPhone 50 times more than any other mobile handset. "We thought it was a mistake and made our engineers check the logs again," Vic Gundotra, head of Google's mobile operations told the Financial Times at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
