This is a interesting application - as it will currently only work on jailbroken iPhone's, but they also say that it will be a "proper" app as soon as Apple start selling downloadable applications.

This little device is a example of lateral thinking.

Basically you take it with you when you go out with your camera (after you have synchronised the clocks of both devices) take your photos, and then stick the memorycard from the camera into the little GPS device. It will not go through your photos, check when they were taken (this info is stored in the metatags of the jpg photo) and add new tags for the gps location this was taken from.

I really think I will need to get one of these - the price I found was GBP 77, not bad.

Now that I have signed up for a iPhone O2 subscription I'd like to be able to hook into this from my laptop when I'm traveling.

So I started looking into this.

First I tried to use the "normal" bluetooth connection method from my (OsX Leopard) MacBook Pro. No luck, as far as the Mac is concerned the iPhone has absolutely no facilities at all (so I suspect that it only has connection profiles for headsets).

Next stop was Google - and this is the most promising article I found:

This little "snippet" just shows how much easier to use the iPhone is when it comes to the Internet - regardless of market share it will change the mobile data market from now on
