Setting up o2wireless manually

tor's picture

If you have a Mac and want to use O2's ADSL wireless router on your network, it may be useful to know that the default IP address for the router (and therefore it's admin interface) is 192.168.1.254, and that the interface is web-based, so choose a manual Ip address such as 192.168.1.252, and use a browser to go to http://192.168.1.254.

Then you should be able to configure the necessary parameters with a bit of trial and error.

The router is a standard Alcatel router with some skinning changes for O2.
