I upgraded to Ecto 3.0b4 a couple of days ago (I am doing some beta-testing of this excellent blogging client), and can't get it to launch.

That is - it actually starts up, the menu line is there, but all options are greyed out, and no window starts up.

Going back to a older version works.

When I checked the support forums I found that someone else have already reported the same problem.

Otherwise Ecto 3 is coming along very nicely and behaves like a model citizen with Drupal 5.3.

I have installed a number of new Drupal modules on this servers - to experiment with expanding the blog I have been doing for quite a while now.

This is mainly a test post to make sure that Drupal 5.0-rc1 and Ecto works together the way I want them to - and that Technorati tags work properly

This is a quick test of Drupal 4.7-beta6 to check if the bug that stopped Ecto (and anything else using the same xmlrpc protocols) from connecting with Drupal has been fixed. And so far so good!

I've decided to write one or more Drupal modules, but to get started I need to know a lot more about how Drupal modules work - so I've taken a module written by someone else for Drupal 4.7, and I am trying to upgrade this to work under Drupal 5.0.

So I have started unpicking the "blog crossposter" module and started converting it.
