From the Arduino blog - a new and easy way of adding lights to any Arduino project :

My wife spends a lot of her (working) time traveling around on her own, in not terribly well lit places. So she is looking for a flashlight so that she can see while walking out to the car, preferably one that is sturdy enough to whack any potential hooligans with as well.

This particular flashlight should fulfill both needs!

We are going on camp (with a large number of explorer scouts) in 2 weeks time, and when I went through the kit I wanted to take along a headlamp was quite high up on the list.

But unfortunately I was unable to find the excellent LED headlamp I bought a few years ago - and so I needed to get a new one. And as flashlight technology has moved on quite a lot in the last few years I did a bit of googling to see what the current state-of-the-art was.

And the best reviews I could find was of the Princeton Tec Apex headlamp.

This has a total of 5 LED's, with a very bright 3 watt LED in the middle, and 4 smaller LED's, 2 on each side of the main part of the light.

I am in the process of buying a Arduino microcontroller kit - and while looking around for projects to get me started I came across this wonderful page with easy starter projects:

We'll start our tutorial with three simple light circuits. In the first one, the LED is permanently on. In the second, the LED only lights up when a button is pressed and a circuit is completed. In the third example, we'll replace the manual switch with an Arduino pin (set to output mode), so we can control the LED from our program. Good news for bloggers using Drupal: pingback module is here, at last. It is a pingback user agent as specified in Pingback 1.0. I have tested the module in my offline server, but I need real-world tests, so I installed the module in my own site.

Download the pingback module (the files have DOS newlines).

Pingbacks generated by this modules closely resemble the ones that WordPress generate. In fact, I “stole” the code for receiving pingbacks from WordPress. Since WordPress and the module is in GPL it is not really a problem.
