For those of you who have read my blogs for any period of time you know that I rarely write about my working life - and that is probably the way it is going to continue (I am setting up a separate work-related blog elsewhere).

But one of the reasons I have blogged less that normal lately is that I have just changed jobs. Tuesday March 18th was the last day on my old job, and I started my new job at the beginning of this month (a bit of overlap - I know).

I was not terribly satisfied towards the end of last year in my old job, for a number of reasons, most of them related to senior managements attitudes towards staff which i had worked with for a long time. In addition to this was were proceeding down a technology line which did not suit me.

So I made a decision in late November to take the consequences of my feelings and decided to find myself a new job. This proved to be extraordinarily easy due to a number of coincidences where I was headhunted for a new position in another company. This role suited me perfectly, and I finished negotiations and signed a contract within a month.

So now I have started in a new - and extremely challenging - job, and I must say that I am enjoying it tremendously. I will also be traveling a bit, mostly within Europe, and my moblog will probably have some more exotic pictures soon.
