I'm sorry - the site (or at least the sites running in Drupal have been down for most of the day as I have experimented with

1. A update of PHP to 5.2.4

and

2. Install of memcached on a separate server to see if I could speed up the Drupal sites.

The first part had severe problems due to a couple of extremely memory hungry Drupal modules taking far more RAM than expected. This should now be sorted.

The second part is now working, but not giving much of a speed boost so far.

There may be a few side-effects of the PHP upgrade for some of the sites, as I have not managed to check everything yet.

But I do know that my xmlrpc.php module for b2evolution has some problems - I'll be back as soon as I have investigated this.

Drupal Module:

Markus from phpMix.org has put together a really cool Akismet module for Drupal, which is a very flexible content management system. I've added it to our development page. If you're dealing with big communities of submitted content, Drupal + Akismet might be a good bet for you.

And this module supports downloading full stories from aggregators, and when used with the URL profile module will actually autotag them as well. Still not ready for Druapl 5 though.

Our Drupal site has been updated to the latest version of Drupal (5.1) and had a slew of new modules added.

This does not necessarily make for the cleanest site around, but means that I can experiment with all the interesting modules out there.

At the moment this includes a OpenID login module - I have some problems with this, but the idea is so good that I'll continue to work on it until I understand the ramifications.

As we are already running Gallery as our main photo display package the necessary Drupal module to support it is now installed.

You should now be able to access the gallery from the left hand menu.
