Hm! It looks like OsX client can also be run under VmWare Fusion:
VMWare Fusion 2.0 beta2 supports virtualizing Mac OS X Server as a guest OS. If you try to install a Leopard Client guest, however, you get an error: "The guest operating system is not Mac OS X Server." However, if you create an ISO/CDR image from your Leopard install DVD, mount it, then do this in Terminal...
touch "/Volumes/Mac OS X Install DVD/System/Library/CoreServices/ServerVersion.plist"

PREFACE: I sent the company behind DataPatrol a letter about this - and I will publish their reply later, but the service is still basically the same, and the results they provide just as lacking in relevance

------------------------------

As part of my "goodies" from Natwest (my bank) I got a free subscription to DataPatrol - a service that describes itself

and as a "revolutionary service" that :

So I signed up a month ago -and added my online identities, email addresses and so on, and waited for results to come back.

Benjamin has had a longstanding problem where the SyncServer takes most of the CPU on his computer - and not letting him sync to his iPhone properly. If he switched to a different login user all was ok.

So I cam across this possible fix :

OS X 10.5, SyncServer takes 100% of CPU
For the past couple of days a process called SyncServer started every 15 minutes or so and it would take over a 100% of the CPU on my MacBook Pro. Not quite sure what initiated this problem, but I found the remedy discussed in this Apple support case to be useful and apparently effective (well at least so far). I did have .Mac and BlackJack synchronization, so not sure if either of these applications caused this problem or not.

Twitter has a very simple (in a positive manner) API for posting messages:

Twitter exposes some of its functionality via an Application Programming Interface (API). This document is a reference for that functionality, and aims to serve as a reference for developers building tools that talk to Twitter.

I am having a few issues setting up my iPhone with Exchange at the moment - the IMAP version works - but not directly to exchange via ActiveSync, so this is one of the more informative postings I found:

Like any good technophile I picked up a new iPhone 3G on Friday the 11th and the very first thing I did when getting back to the office was to try to get my Exchange Server to do Direct Push. I have had some small frustrations from the wide distribution of documentation on the subject so hopefully this post will save someone some time.

I am now trying to Twitter a bit more than I have used to do - the iPhone applications are making this easier.

Just came back from kayaking on the river Wey again - I feel a bit self-righteous now, at least I get some exercise.
