I am sitting here (Sunday morning - really sad) watching a interview with Gordon Brown, and he makes statements like :

- I made a decision to build 3 million more houses.

- I made a decision to [insert vague statement here}

and I despair - where has democracy gone in this country, and what is the difference between having a Prime Minister and a President?

In a democracy the word "I" when referring to decisions should be used very sparingly by a PM, as he (or she) is only elected to represent the people of the country, not himself.

So the correct word should be "we" - or the PM is simply not doing the job....

But unfortunately I do believe that the PM (IMHO) has completely missed that fact that he/she only represents the people...
