Just to show you the difference in police tactics between countries - this time it's one of the top stories in Trondheims main Newspaper:
Drosjesjåfør låste seg inne i bilen :
Drosjesjåfør låste seg inne i bilen
Først kjørte han mot rødt lys to ganger. Deretter låste han seg inne i drosjen og nektet å etterkomme politiets ordre.
For those of you that do not speak norwegian - a summary in English.
Police spotted a cab driving through 2 red lights, and turned on their blue flashing lights and gave chase. After chasing the car for a considerable distance they managed to stop it, but the cabbie locked the doors of the cab and refused to come out.
The police had to get hold of their duty lawyer to get permission to break a window to get access to the driver, and arrested him.
Hm - a bit of a difference in attitude/tactics here to what I can see in the UK, and not to mention the US.
Draw your own conclusions.
